Supporting Port of Sheerness' journey to a net zero future
UK Power Networks Services has announced that they will be working with Peel Ports Group to help them on their journey to become a net zero port operator by 2040.
In order for Port of Sheerness to continue to grow, reduce their carbon impact and continue port operations, we are undertaking detailed modelling and analysis to enable a better understanding of their HV electricity network.
The project will use power system analysis software to provide the electrical layout of the network, load and voltage profiles and protection coordination. This network intelligence will ensure Port of Sheerness can continue with their ambitious carbon reduction and growth plans, while maintaining a resilient energy network.
We look forward to working with Peel Ports in support of their goal for their ports of the future to be greener, more sustainable environments.
